The life of a progamer

If you have not catched them, i can really recommend you to watch White-Ras vlogs, which can be found here. You get some insight into the life of a progamer, and of course White-Ra is such a baller. In these vlogs, he shows a lot of content from his travels to USA, and he meets a lot of other progamers. Really fun vlogs, nice to see the pros contributing to the community. I hope that more of the pros will bring such content. Tyler did some vlogs a while ago, but lets hope for more.

Dreamhack Winter 2011 Online Qualifiers!

Quoted from Dreamhacks official bracket info at BinaryBeast

"Two players will qualify to DreamHack Winter 2011 StarCraft II Main tournament (24-26 November) where 400 000 SEK is up for grabs. First 512 players to sign-up will get a spot. The bracket will be randomly generated. The first map is fixed for each round and the loser picks next map."

So to all prOpers out there: Practice and fight for this! We´re going to Dreamhack and you might just start warming up now!

Esport-SM

As the IPL3 is unfolding, another tournament was played, as rakaka.se and the Swedish esport-league were arranging the first of seven qualifiers for esport-sm (sm means Svenska mästerskapen = Swedish championship). Fifa, HoN, CS 1.6, super street fighter, and Starcraft 2 were the games that were played, and some real action unfolded in the Starcraft 2 tournament when SortOf, from team Infoerno esports, and Forsen from team Alien invasion, met in a ZvZ finals. After some exciting games, SortOf surprisingly won 3-0. Congratulation to inFSortOf, who is now qualified for both Dreamhack winter and the finals of esport-sm, which is going to be played at dreamhack summer.

"If a StarCraft documentary eventually rises above Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, we'll have Hollywood flabberghasted."

Justin, Ralph and Ricard over at starnationmovie.com are working on a StarCraft 2 documentary that is currently in production. The trailer looks very promising and the documentary will most likely be awesome if they keep up the good work. They recently published an article regarding this documentary that I thought was worth sharing with you. The article is right here so gogo! check it out!

This sunday will be a vital step in Sweden's e-sport success. International E-Sport Foundation are hosting a tournament. This tournament is aimed towards swedish players who aim to take their e-sport career to the next level.

The grand prize will be sending two swedish gamers to Korea where they will ultimately compete for the glory of Sweden in an international championship for a total prize of 180 000 SEK. During this period, they will also live in Korea with paid food and accomodation.

I look forward to competing in this tournament.
Do you?

IM house tour with Artosis

Artosis brings us another sweet tour of a progaming house in Korea, and this time it's Incredible Miracle's turn. Not only do we get to see how they live but we also get a total of five interviews with players like MVP, NesTea and more. This is a definite must to check out, and in case you missed the tour of the Star Tale and Prime houses you should also check them out.

The teams of TeSL

TeSl also known as The Taiwan eSports League was introduced to the TL and the foreign Sc2 community not long ago in this thread on teamliquid. There we got to know an awesome league established well enough to even rival the GSL with televised games, several pro teams with team houses and player salaries. The TeSL was established around 3 years ago but unfortunately there has been no international promotion or english website until very recently.

Up until now there has been no foreigners allowed to compete in the TeSL but they are now considering allowing one foriegner player per Taiwanese team totaling in five players. This is still under discussion and nothing is final yet but it's still very exciting to hear news of yet another big but relatively unknown league. For more information and a short FAQ read this thread on TL posted by one of TeSL's casters.

No idea, probably not as good as the very best in EU/NA/KR but I'm guessing they're pretty skilled.
